We met in a little church in Garstang, England. I had just finished the Wellspring conference in Cornwall with my family, and was preparing to drop my sister off for a one-year internship in Birmigham; while Simon had just returned from an evangelistic outreach in London. At the end of the service we got talking and exchanged facebook information, within a few short days we began long discussions about God and life.
This continued for a whole year, until we met up in Greece the following summer and began dating. We got to spend the summer together in three countries! Greece, England, and USA! It was really fun showing each other the world we were part of.
Each of us had a year left in Univeristy to finish, so unfortanetly, we had to part our ways. Thus, began the long infamous skype calls. It's amazing what technology can do these days! Christmas time Simon and his parents came to the States, and we got engaged.
I've just enjoyed the first part of the summer with Simon and his family in England. I couldn't be happier and excited for what the future holds! As I look back, our journey seems remarkable! I don't feel like either of us had control over the situation, it just bloomed and grew on its own by the grace of God.
I cannot wait to walk through all the seasons of life with this man :)
